USA, Sweden conducting CBRN exercise Archipelago Endeavour 2026
Personnel from the Stockholm Amphibious Corps [Sweden] and United States Marine Corps are conducting the CBRN exercise Archipelago Endeavour 2026 in Sweden from 24 August to 10 September.
According to information published by the Swedish Defence Force, Archipelago Endeavour 2026 is a recurring annual exercise between the Stockholm Amphibious Regiment and the US Marine Corps, with the aim is to develop joint combat capabilities, strengthen cooperation and increase joint readiness.
The exercise is being conducted in the Stockholm archipelago and at the Swedish Defence Forces' Defence Centre in Umeå, northern Sweden.
"Archipelago Endeavour 26 is an important part of the long-standing cooperation between Sweden and the United States and also contributes to strengthening NATO's capabilities in the Baltic Sea region," the wrote the Swedish Defence Force.
This year's edition focuses on elements within healthcare and the management of CBRN threats. The exercise is conducted within the framework of the Defence Cooperation Agreement, which strengthens Sweden's operational capabilities and enables rapid interventions in the event of escalation or direct threats.
