About
Red H#sh Magazine is an independent publication launched in July 2026 by DarkForge Defence.
For the first time, one industry publication will unite the full spectrum of improvised threats and the technologies designed to defeat them. For too long, the CBRN, EOD, IEDD, electronic countermeasures, weapons technical intelligence and counter-UAS communities have worked in isolated stovepipes, often pursuing the same objectives while duplicating efforts and resources. The threats have evolved together and our response must do the same.
Red H#sh Magazine is being built on decades of first-hand operational experience, creating a trusted platform that connects industry, government, law enforcement and end users. It will identify and expose emerging threats, challenge conventional thinking and showcase the technologies and capabilities shaping tomorrow's battlefield. We will also connect operational end users with innovators, accelerate peer-to-peer collaboration and identify larger procurement dynamics to help companies identify who is investing in the next generation of CBRN, EOD, IEDD, C-UAS and related equipment.
Andy Peat GM - the founder and director of DarkForge Defence and a retired British Army Major with 34 years’ service in CBRN, EOD, IEDD and weapons intelligence - serves as Red H#sh Magazine's senior adviser.
Patrick Norén - a former editor of Chemical, Biological & Nuclear Warfare Magazine at NCT Consultants and the founder and former editor-in-chief of Exposure Report - serves as editor.
