Taiwan 33rd Chemical Group conducts CBRN exercise

The Republic of China [Taiwan] Army's 33rd Chemical Group conducted a CBRN field exercise on 30 August 2026 simulating a brigade-level force struck by enemy chemical agents.

In a post on X, Taiwan Security Monitor wrote that personnel used MDS-106 light decontamination systems, MD-105 heavy decontamination vehicles, CBRN reconnaissance vehicles and MR170 remote chemical detectors to identify contaminated areas, mark hazards and decontaminate personnel, vehicles and equipment.

These exercises tested the unit’s ability to rapidly restore combat effectiveness.
