Serbian Army peacekeeping unit conducts CBRN training
A CBRN unit from the Serbian Army designated for participation in peacekeeping operations, has conducted collective training at the "Tsar Lazar" Barracks and the "Ravnjak" training ground in Kruševac, Serbia.
According to information published by the Serbian Armed Forces on 26 August 2026, personnel from the unit undergo "comprehensive preparation and complex training" to reach the required level of proficiency to complete tasks in an international environment, adding that their readiness for these tasks is subject to continuous assessment.
"During this training period for CBRN unit personnel, the focus is on tactical drills for collective tasks likely to be encountered in multinational operations - such as the radiological, chemical, and biological decontamination of personnel, weaponry, and equipment; patrolling; establishing checkpoints; force and facility protection; and the evacuation and treatment of the wounded," the Serbian Armed Forces said.
Upon completion of this training phase, the CBRN unit will undergo a further tactical exercise, during which its readiness for deployment in peacekeeping operations will be assessed.
