Mervi Ryynänen appointed CEO of Observis, begins 7 September
The Finnish producer of CBRNe situational awareness solutions, Observis, has announced that Mervi Ryynänen will join the company as CEO on 7 September 2026.
In a press release published on their website 13 August, Observis wrote that Mervi Ryynänen "brings more than 25 years of international leadership experience in business development, commercial growth and technology-driven business". The company said that her appointment their Observis’ next phase of growth and ambition to further strengthen its international business.
The founders will continue in active roles within the company, with Tommi Kainulainen, who has served as CEO since the establishment of Observis, focussing fully on expanding Observis’ business in the Middle East and Africa and will lead the local Observis MEA company; Heikki Isotalus will continue as COO and Ville Kanerva as CTO.
Observis' chairman of the board, Tarmo Karhapää, said: "Mervi brings extensive experience in leading international growth, entering new markets and building long-term customer relationships.
