Indian Army neutralises 10kg IED in Manipur's Churachandpur district

The Indian Army has detected and neutralised an IED weighing approximately 10kg in the eastern state of Manipur.

In a post on X, the Spear Corps of the Indian Army, reported that the IED was found in the South Thanjing forest area of Manipur’s Churachandpur district.

"The timely action averted a potential threat to the local population and security forces, ensured safe movement in the area and reaffirmed the unwavering commitment of the Indian Army to safeguarding lives and maintaining peace and security in Manipur," the post said.

The latest incident follows the discovery of three powerful IEDs weighing approximately 20kg by the Spear Corps and Manipur Police in jungle areas along the southern border of Assam.
